Only needed if your organisation blocks the Chrome Web Store. Takes about 60 seconds.

    Download the extension

    Save the ZIP file to your computer

    Unzip the file

    Extract the ZIP to a folder (right-click and extract, or double-click on Mac)

    Open chrome://extensions

    Paste this into your Chrome address bar and hit Enter

    Enable Developer Mode

    Toggle the switch in the top-right corner of the extensions page

    Click "Load unpacked"

    Select the unzipped folder. The Aceframe extension icon will appear in your toolbar.

Manual installs do not auto-update. Use the Chrome Web Store version above unless you cannot.

Common questions

Is the manual install safe?

Yes. It's the same extension we submitted to the Chrome Web Store. Developer mode just lets you install extensions that aren't from the store yet.

Will it auto-update?

The Chrome Web Store version updates itself automatically. Manual installs do not, so you would need to re-download for each release.

Chrome shows a warning about developer mode extensions?

Chrome may show a warning on startup about developer mode extensions. This is normal and you can dismiss it. It will go away once you switch to the Web Store version.
